PCMate Free File Recovery 8.1.0 - free software and third-party notices

PCMate Free File Recovery is free to use. Its modified TestDisk/PhotoRec engine and libntfs are GPL-2.0-or-later software. Full corresponding modified source, build scripts and notices are supplied separately with the release. The static libiconv/libcharset component retains its LGPL-2.1-or-later terms, and zlib retains its license; the source package includes those components and the material needed to rebuild/relink them. GPL and component notices are provided in the application Licenses folder and corresponding source package. This notice does not restrict the rights granted by these licenses.

Lucide icons retain their ISC / Feather MIT licenses. The included Microsoft .NET runtime retains its Microsoft licenses and third-party notices.

Install and save recovered files to a different disk from the source. Data overwritten or discarded by SSD TRIM, encryption or damaged hardware may not be recoverable. Recovery estimates and file signatures do not prove complete original content. Do not treat recovered files as safe to execute. Existing brand.ini, saved light/dark preferences, recovery outputs and user data are preserved by this installer/uninstaller; the uninstaller removes only its installation files and shortcuts.

RelevantKnowledge is separate optional research from TMRG, a Comscore company. It collects browsing and app activity in the background, and we may be paid if you participate. In interactive setup, clicking Next on the welcome page downloads and opens its unchanged official Agree / Decline invitation before this application license. Opening the invitation does not accept participation. You may skip the download or decline in the official screen and continue installing the free application. Silent application installation never downloads or launches RK or the main application. Declining, skipping, a failed download or an unavailable invitation does not prevent PCMate Free File Recovery installation or use. No RK consent is inferred from its exit code.

If you accept RK, manage or uninstall it separately in Windows Settings > Apps. Uninstalling PCMate Free File Recovery does not uninstall RK. RK policies: https://www.relevantknowledge.com/privacy-policy and https://www.relevantknowledge.com/terms-of-service
